The Yamaha Scorpio by Thrive Motocycles is Made for Mad Max

The boxy design of the new and improved 2008 Yamaha Scorpio is absolutely badass. Made for the likes of Mad Max and the apocalyptic world he lives in, it was updated by Thrive Motorcycles, a shop based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Although the design of the 2008 Yamaha Scorpio is still quite vintage, the overhaul was drastic enough that much of the original frame was stripped down.

In its place, the Yamaha Scorpio was outfitted weight-saving sheet aluminum for the body, a subframe that maximized the horizontal grid and a custom dashboard with a smartphone mount. Hypebeast notes, "The result is a stunning reimagining of the traditional motorcycle silhouette into something positively space-age, in what is sure to be a divisive but innovative design."
