The XO Bar by Jim Clemes Incorporates Baroque Paintings on the Ceiling

At first glance, the XO Bar looks like a typical lounge restaurant with its dark ambiance and rich chocolate-colored furniture. Yet as soon as a person gazes upwards, it becomes immediately apparent that there is a specific theme. Borrowing elements from the Victorian era, classical paintings decorate the ceiling, but not in the way of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel mural.

Instead, the XO Bar incorporates them in a modern way to give the space an added touch of class and culture without coming off as too stuffy. Designed by Jim Clemes Architects, the XO Bar has unmistakable character, that will appeal to those looking for something different while enjoying a night out.

The XO Bar is located in the ‘Posthof’ part of a 1759 baroque building complex in Trier, one of the oldest German cities.
