The controller is reported by the brand to feature one-third regrind and reclaimed materials, which includes plastic water jugs, CDs and more. The gaming controller maintains a vibrant form that works with a rechargeable battery pack to eliminate the need for disposable batteries.
The brand commented on the Xbox Wireless Controller Remix Special Edition saying, "To celebrate this year, we've created an Xbox controller that features recovered plastics with one-third of it made from regrind and reclaimed materials. Mixing post-consumer recycled resins with regrind consisting of previously molded colored parts creates custom, earth-tone colors with subtle variations, swirling, markings, and texturing – giving each Remix Special Edition controller its own look and feel."
