X by XREAL (XBX) is a new sub-brand from the tech brand that takes on augmented reality (AR) eyewear with a decidedly lower cost price point to help catch the attention of consumers. The brand has made its debut in China where the XBX A01 display glasses have gone live and boast a camera-free design that's lightweight to appeal to avid travelers as well as gamers and movie enthusiasts alike. The A01 headset weighs in at 62-grams with displays that support HDR10 playback and offer a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.

The X by XREAL A01 AR glasses are slated to make their debut in the US market in July for $299 per pair and could help to make connected eyewear more appealing to a wider swath of consumers.
