Jaw-Dropping Geometric Lighting

Woodspot by Alessandro Zambelli is Full of Abstract Expression

The design of the Woodspot by Alessandro Zambelli, an industrial designer based in Mantua, Italy, is very expressive. A table lamp, it either looks to be dropping its jaw or forming an upward cavern of sorts. Whatever the case may be, its geometric form is dynamic and sculptural, which many people will appreciate.

Available in three colors, pastel green, flesh pink or ivory white, the Woodspot by Alessandro Zambelli is, surprise surprise, made out of pine wood. Designed for Seletti, the leg and diffuser work together to hold the lamp upright. As written on his website, "This visionary synthesis of material, light and shade blurs the boundaries of everything. Like the Magritte painting, it is a recomposition by different rules which sidestep convention. The result is a new and unusual ideal of beauty."
