Redesigned Nordic Cabins

The 'Wooden Wonder' Features a Mix of Classic and Modern Design

Norwegian architects Mork-Ulnes redesigned the Wooden Wonder, a traditional Nordic cabin that offers a unique design with expansive views.

The timber structure is set on the beautiful Mylla lake inside a forest that is a short drive from Osla. Originally designed to be a nature retreat, the cabin has an open floor plan with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a bunkroom, a ski storage room and a luxurious sauna. The untreated pine and plywood exterior create a warm and welcoming aesthetic, with comfortable and modern bespoke furniture on the inside and out.

The large windows placed around the Wooden Wonder cabin allow views of the lake, field and forest in every room -- flooding the space with natural lighting that emphasizes the fantastic design.
