Beetle-Like Storage Cabinets

The Bug Wooden Cabinet Design Supersizes a Beetle for Storage

Most people are typically not fans of insects in the home, but considering the beauty of 'BUG,' an interesting wooden cabinet design, perhaps some exceptions could be made.

The amazing storage piece is the work of designer Janis Straupe for the TRUE Latvia design embassy. The head of the wood-carved beetle opens vertically and its wings open naturally to the left and to the right, so as well as being pretty impressive to look at, the design is fully functional and has a ton of storage capabilities inside.

As it stands, BUG is a one-of-a-kind furniture piece, since Straupe has only made a single version of the unit so far. However, it is available for purchase through TRUE Latvia.
