The Google My Business Dashboard Now Offers a Women-Led Attribute

To celebrate International Women's Day, Google is helping women in business by introducing a new 'Women-led' attribute to the 'Google My Business' dashboard. That means that when a consumer looks at a business owned and operated by a woman on a Google platform like Maps or Search, they'll see "Women led" under a female symbol alongside the preexisting attributes like "Outdoor seating" or "Highly rated".

While plenty of brands make overtures to recognize the importance of International Women's Day, Google's new women-led attribute is especially impactful. Not only does it show that Google supports female business owners, but it also lets consumers invested in supporting local female businesses spend their money accordingly. The attribute supports women in business in both theory and in practice.

To add the women-led attribute, female business owners can select it from their My Business page directly.
