Instead of Dorothy being whisked away from her home in Kansas, James Franco plays Oscar Diggs, a small time circus magician. Diggs is tasked with figuring out who is to be trusted and who is evil. On his journey he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams.)
