Wisk Aero has entered into a new partnership agreement with Blade Urban Air Mobility in a combined effort to launch an electric air taxi service.
Wisk Aero will receive compensation based on air time, where minimum flight time agreements are already in place between the two organizations. The terms of the new partnership agreement dictate that Wisk Aero will control 30 aircraft while using the Blade Urban Air Mobility network. The deal will also give Blade Urban Air Mobility access to aircraft, as the company does not own any aircraft and relies on other organizations.
Rob Weisenthal, the CEO o Blade, said that the partnership will help expedite Blade's transition to safe, quiet, and carbon-neutral aircraft.
