Upcycled Barn Buildings

The Willoughby Design Barn is a New Structure With Reanimated Bones

The Willoughby Design Barn is a great example of how sometimes the materials needed to start a new project can be found by conveniently recycling something old.

Designed by a firm called El Dorado, over 56% of the Willoughby Design Barn's material expenses were salvaged from existing buildings which were set for demolition. The building's timber frame, for example, was taken from a neighbor's old barn, while its flooring came from an old school gymnasium. Despite its zombie-like origins, the barn still effortlessly captures the look and feel of a modern event space.
