Nickolay Lamm Depicts Wi-Fi Channels and Signals in Colorful Waves

What would it look like if Wi-Fi channels and signals were visible to human eyes? Artist Nickolay Lamm uses a lot of color to further explore this concept.

In this series, he depicts what freeze frames of this technology would look like in space. Wi-Fi channels make up Wi-Fi signals that are transmitted in waves. Similar to other invisible waves, these signals move at a specific speed and have different sizes. However, Wi-Fi signal waves travel in such a way that they are uninterrupted by other signals. Lamm's work visualizes the varying ways these waves might travel. To do this, he uses the colors of the rainbow and different kinds of patterns -- broad arcs, tight zigzags, rippling pulses and even straight lines.
