Nostalgic Beer Branding

Widmer Brothers Takes on an Aged Painter Look

The Widmer Brothers is a beer brand with a new design by Ben Willett and Factory North. The creatives behind this rebranding took inspiration from two separate sources: for one it was the memories of Oktoberfest, and the other was the look of painters back in the 50s and 60s.

Factory North stated that they were moved by the lettering done by an old painters' sign, so decided to use this moving forward when coming up with ways to reinvent the brand. The designers even used a picture of the brothers' dad to produce an illustrated version of this and put it on the side of the bottle. As such, everything about these two designs is a throwback to past times, producing a hit of nostalgia upon purchasing.
