Sophia Coppola Teams Up with Louis Vuitton

A trend that has been growing throughout the new millennium is a collaboration between artists and fashion designers. From film directors to plastic artists, musicians or celebrities, fashion has gained a new crowd that is ready to reinvent style.

We always knew Sophia Coppola was a fashion-wise woman with a subtle simplicity and wit. In December 2008, she launched a collection of bags and shoes designed for Louis Vuitton in Tokyo. Beside the pièce de résistance that is the SC Bag, she also designed a small clutch and a line of sandals. The clutch has a precious detail: a small mirror incorporated inside.

Also for Louis Vuitton, the irresistibly sexy Pharrell Williams has designed a collection of jewelry called the Blason. Bling Bling couldn’t make more sense, especially now that it’s directly from Paris. Check out the video here.

Back in 2003, Japanese artist Takashi Murakami also started a collaboration with Vuitton, the Multicolor line. In 2008, another plastic artist, Richard Prince, designed the handbag collection "Big City After Dark," which is a blast of colors.
