Form Environment Research Studio, otherwise known as(fer) studio, designed the interior remodel and addition of this west Hollywood residence.
Located above Sunset Boulevard, the home is privy to panoramic views of Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Brentwood. The architects re-oriented the home to face the west, wishing to maximize the surrounding views and increase access to natural light.
The client wanted to imbue the contemporary home with a South East Asian vibe. To do so, the designers chose a rich color palette to complement the owner's collection of artifacts, proudly displayed throughout the home. The exterior of the home is clad in mangaris wood that coheres with the warmth of the interior color scheme. The home also emphasizes indoor-outdoor living using retractable doors and full height glass.
