The #WDESIGN Exhibit is bringing some budding social media-based photographers into the spotlight by featuring their Instagram created captures of the New York City landscape in the W Hotel Times Square.
Featuring snapshots taken and edited using Instagram by Brian Difeo, Angeliki Jackson, John de Guzman, Liz Eswein, Chrixtian Xavier Chantemargue and Theo, the two-month-long exhibition is geared toward promoting the editing software as a legitimate creative outlet.
Stunning photos are no longer privy to those who can afford expensive camera set-ups and the most advanced equipment and the captures featured in the installation showcase the stunning shots that can be achieved with low-budget, accessible technology.
The photo editing application has also become a staple in the artistic communities of London, Singapore and Ireland which have featured Instagram exhibitions of their own.
