The motorized Wave Jet surfboard allows surfers to laugh in the face of mother nature as they glide to the summit. Using this new automatic aqua rider, surfers can drive up to the highest and most deadliest squalls without having to be towed. The motorized surfboard was not created to propel surfers, rather to enable them to paddle up to four times faster.
Thanks to this innovation surfers can now truly be at one with the ocean and not have to rely on anything other than themselves. The surfer uses an armband to control the boards speed and movements while towing. The board has yet to go on sale but can be expected to sell in the neighbourhood of $4,000, and has both a recreational and rescue version.
