Twitch Expands Its Watch Parties Beta Tests to Its U.S. Affiliates

Twitch recently expanded the beta program for its Watch Parities, and now the company's United States affiliates can use the new live-streaming features. Watch Parties was created to foster a socially-oriented viewing experience, and it allows streamers and viewers to simultaneously watch a movie and interact as it is playing. In order to participate in the beta program, viewers will need to have access to Amazon Prime Video. However currently only a limited number of titles from the platform are eligible, however, Twitch will work toward having the whole Prime Video catalog accessible for Watch Parties.

The platform has been working on the beta program for a number of months, and it was previously launched for a select group of partners. Additionally, Twitch indicated it will make the beta available to viewers outside the United States within a few months, however, no official launch date is scheduled.
