Warehouse-Inspired Luxury Stores

Balenciaga's Madison Avenue Store Has an Industrial Aesthetic

Taking over a space that Gucci used to occupy, Balenciaga's new Madison Avenue location is a warehouse-inspired luxury store.

The space feels quite minimal and urban while still feeling luxurious in its finishings. Balenciaga currently has two stores in SoHo, making this its third store in New York. In the 1,800 square foot space "foil-covered rails descend from the ceiling, fitting rooms are covered in silicone, benches are wrapped in synthetic leather and aluminum display tables are sprawled throughout." The use of non-traditional and futuristic materials make the space feel ultra-cool and clean, while the branded carpet gives the store a 1990s branded feel.

In all, the warehouse-inspired luxury store is a true reflection of the ultra-modern designs Balenciaga has been releasing the past several seasons and represents the direction in which the brand is headed.
