Versatile Portable Projectors

WalkPro3D Allows People to Control Animations Using Hand Gestures

WalkPro3D is a portable projector that ups the interactivity by allowing people to control the images via hand gestures. As though taking the capabilities of the Wii and other similar devices to the next level, this allows such entertainment to be more immersive than ever. The only drawback of WalkPro3D -- if a person sees it as such -- is the fact that the technology will have to be harnessed on.

Developed by video artist and expert projectionist Shaun O’Connor, the capabilities of WalkPro3D is demonstrated in his WALKABOUT Projection project. It uses LeapMotion and the Unity3D gaming engine to introduce the new, gesture-based technology. O'Connor also collaborated with animator PIKLIPITA to put WalkPro3D to the test via colorful cartoon characters.
