Turbodiesel Convertibles

VW Unveils the Bluesport

VW is unveiling their two-door Bluesport Roadster in Detroit today. The VW Bluesport is a mid-mounted 2.0-liter turbodiesel convertible that boasts 35 mpg (on the European cycle, so expect a slightly lower number here in the States) and a 6.2-second 0 to 60.

As far as convertible roadsters go, the VW Bluesport Roadster isn't exactly the best and fastest of the bunch. However, Autoblog cites official numbers from VW that make this auto skyrocket to the top of my wishlist: 57 mpg in Eco mode.
