The Vogue Paris 'God Save the Queen' Photoshoot Stars Anja Rubik

Channeling two British style icons, the punk movement and the Queen of England, the Vogue Paris 'God Save the Queen' editorial is very two-faced. Quite literally, in fact. Model Anja Rubik takes a few cues from a certain villainous Batman character in order to better portray both icons at the same time. In this way, the editorial has an almost poetic reality, that two seemingly disparate things can live together harmoniously.

The Vogue Paris 'God Save the Queen' editorial was shot by photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Appearing in the August 2013 issue of the magazine, the Polish beauty was clad in regal and edgy designs from the likes of Alexander McQueen, Chloe and Saint Laurent by Emmanuelle Alt.
