Olympic Propaganda Parodies

College Humor’s Vladimir Putin Olympic Ad Shares Sochi Highlight

College Humor created a funny Vladimir Putin Olympic commercial, addressing most of the "Sochi problems" that have been surfacing during this year’s Winter Games.

‘Vladimir Putin’s Local Olympics Commercial’ boasts about the great sporting events Russia hosted, including a few games that are exclusive to this year’s Winter Games, like door-wrestling. This is a reference to US bobsledder Johnny Quinn, who had to break himself out of a hotel bathroom. As well, Putin is quick to clear up that there were only ever meant to be four rings that appeared at the Opening Ceremony, in response to what’s being called the "Olympic Ring fail."

In this spoof, Putin reiterates that there will be "no gays, only disco" at the games and announces that music at the event will be provided by none other than DJ Edward Snowden.
