This Virtual Reality Film Documents the Experience of Children in War

The New York Times is producing its first-ever virtual reality film, and providing its readers with Google Cardboard headsets so that they can experience it.

In collaboration with Google, the Times will send Google Cardboard headsets to its home-delivery subscribers, as well as providing codes for digital subscribers to purchase the virtual reality headsets. With its readership fully equipped, the major newspaper plans to roll out more virtual reality new content.

The first New York Times immersive content will be 'The Displaced,' a virtual reality film that transports viewers into the experience of children driven from their homes by military conflict.
