Virtual Golf Apps

The 'Dell Play Through' App Lets Users Play a Course Through the City of Austin

Virtual golf simulators can be found everywhere from hotels and condo buildings to standalone facilities. But rather than having people travel to a specific location in order to play a completely virtual game of golf, Dell is making the experience portable through a new mobile app.

The 'Dell Play Through' app was debuted for this year's SXSW in Austin and allows locals and visitors to go through the city playing a virtual round of golf. A smartphone replaces all traditional golfing equipment and over the course of playing this virtual sport, users get a unique tour of major landmarks like the Paramount Theater and the Driskill Hotel.

In addition to being apart of the brand's Future Ready campaign, the Dell Play Through app ties in with an upcoming sponsorship for the Match Play golf tournament in Austin.
