Luxury Vintage SUVs

Mercedes-Benz Redefined Its Vintage Collection with Modern Tech

Mercedes-Benz debuted its 2019 G550 and the Detroit Auto Show, adding modern technology to its classic vintage SUVs.

The G-Wagen is a favorite among the upmarket consumer, as it offers a retro-look SUV and an off-road option. In an attempt to elevate the car to a status higher than a style statement, Mercedes-Benz tweaked the interior so it could work more efficiently in the modern world.
Preserving the big and boxy exterior, the 2019 G550 has an updated entertainment system, including a voice assistant with two TFT screens.

The interior altogether is much more luxurious than that of its predecessor and has more space on account that the body of the car is longer by 2.1 inches and wider by 4.8 inches. Despite this, the vintage SUV is lighter because of extensive use of high-strength steel and aluminium.
