The Vibram x STAPLE StratX Slides have been created in collaboration between the brands as a new footwear style created with comfort and an advanced material in the spotlight. The slides are crafted with the StratX materail that's molded from a rubber sheet before being engineered through vacuum forming that gives the footwear structure, but also a leather-like finish. The slides are limited to just 50 examples that will be available for consumers to pick up at STAPLE's flagship location in New York City.
STAPLE commented on the Vibram x STAPLE StratX Slides saying, "We could’ve used printing, embroidery, or laser etching – but we asked ourselves, what if it was shaped and molded? Vibram’s innovative new StratX compound was the answer. Instead of adding design to a surface, we wanted to shape the surface itself."
