Fish scale fashions are not a fleeting trend. In Milan, both Versace and Iceberg showed dresses and coats with huge overlapping sequins and knitted scale-like layers. Some appear rounded and smooth like fish skin and others are more reptilian with edges that end in a pointer shape.
The Iceberg collection (images 5-10) was heavy in dramatic black and red colour and many pieces were actually knitted in the scaly method. Versace, of course, took a sexier approach with shiny discs of aqua blue and pale peach on mini dresses seen in photos 1-4.
