VELTO is a wall-mounted coat rack designed to remain flat against a wall when not in use and to unfold into a functional hook with a single push. The mechanism starts from a flat panel that sits flush like a small tile; pressing the panel engages a spring-assisted system that unfolds the structure into a hook capable of holding coats, bags, and accessories. The unfolding motion is inspired by folding principles similar to origami, turning a flat surface into a three-dimensional form without additional hardware protruding when unused.

The coat rack concept originates from a single flat sheet of laser-cut polypropylene that flexes without breaking, enabling efficient production and minimal material use. VELTO can be painted to match the surrounding wall or finished in a contrasting color, allowing the panel to blend or stand out within interior spaces. It is intended for narrow hallways, entryways, and compact areas where protruding hooks typically interrupt circulation and visual continuity. The system’s simple push-to-deploy action creates a compact and on-demand hanging solution that disappears from view when empty.
