Heura makes meat alternatives in the form of fillets, cold cuts and nuggets, and its new, vegetable-forward burger patties see the brand focus on legumes and whole vegetables. Vegetable-forward patties have long struggled to compete with the hearty flavor, texture and nutritional value of their meatier plant-based counterparts, but Heura's take on the classic veggie patty delivers double the average protein content of this category, with 15 grams per burger. "The vegetable burger always made you choose: protein or flavor," said co-founder and CEO Marc Coloma. "We didn’t accept that rule."
Vegetable burgers account for about 20% of Spain’s plant-based market, and with its veggie patties, Heura is shaking up the category and providing an uncompromising experience with Chimichurri Pepper and Thai Curry Spinach varieties.
