The Mrs Crimble’s Vegan Choc Macaroons Have 150 Calories Each

The Mrs Crimble’s Vegan Choc Macaroons have been unveiled by Wessanen UK as part of its gluten-free dessert range that will help to expand the product's demographic reach. The macaroons are made without any animal ingredients and come in packs of six; each of the treats contain 150 calories to make them easy to portion out according to consumption intake preferences. The treats will be available at Tesco locations starting in November with a price tag of £1.79 per pack.

Marketing Director at Wessanen UK Bryan Martins spoke on the Mrs Crimble’s Vegan Choc Macaroons saying, "We’re incredibly proud to have taken the Mrs Crimble’s brand on to the next stage of free-from indulgence by creating a vegan-friendly version that tastes as good as our original recipe. The challenge was to remove the egg ingredients while maintaining the same delicious taste and wonderful texture. Without the eggs the macaroon still holds together with all the other ingredients, resulting in a deliciously, moist and moreish treat for our vegan and gluten-free consumers."
