The Conceptual 'UVClean' Cleans Hands and Technology

The conceptual 'UVClean' hand washing machine is a holistic hygiene-focused fixture for the modern bathroom that would work to keep a person feeling better about their health habits. The unit is intended to be installed in public restrooms and features a dedicated section for a person's smartphone to be placed as they wash their hands after use. The system would then go to work using UV light to sterilize the device as the person washes and dries their hands at the sink, while HEPA filtration prevents contaminants from being spread around a space.

The conceptual 'UVClean' hand washing machine is the design work of Lidia Grits and is the winner of the 2020 Jump The Gap – Roca International Design contest.
