The Del Monte Corporation and Treatt have partnered on a new range of upcycled fruit extracts that keep beverage manufacturers in mind to assist them in creating clean label solutions.
The portfolio consists of extracts from pineapple, mango, watermelon and cantaloupe, which are designed specifically for drink applications, and leverage Treatt's natural extraction technology. This prioritizes an authentic flavor with consistent performance when used across an entire range of drink options. The process also makes use of Del Monte's fresh-cut fruit processing facilities and the ingredients that would otherwise not be used in finished products to reduce waste, while also enhancing value from the existing fruit supply chain.
Chief Commercial Officer of the Specialty Ingredients Division at the Del Monte Corporation Deema Anani spoke on the partnership with Treatt saying, "At Del Monte Corporation, we are continuously exploring new ways to maximise the value of every fruit we grow and source. This collaboration reflects how innovation and responsible sourcing can work hand in hand, creating high-quality fruit-derived ingredients that help our customers meet evolving consumer preferences."
