The UnBeweavable Hair App Finds Hairdressers for Women of Color

Women of color, particularly those who have "afro-textured hair," tend not to have too many businesses that cater to their specific hair needs – but the UnBeweavable Hair app aims to change this fact.

Founded by Zina Alfa, the app was created after years of Alfa not having easily accessible services that cater to her hair's needs, or even opportunities to find those services online. She created the UnBeweavable Hair app to counter this problem. The app allows users to log in, select from a wide range of hair types, and then choose a hair stylist who specializes in that hair type within a two-mile radius, who the user can visit or who can visit the user.

This app aims to target the needs of a demographic that tends to not be adequately represented in the beauty industry.
