The UMBRELLA+ Moves the Umbrella Stand Off the Floor

UMBRELLA+ moves the umbrella stand off the floor and into your exit routine by repositioning umbrella storage to wall height near doorways to make it more visible and easier to grab when leaving or returning. Designed by Germain Verbrackel, the concept is a horizontal cylinder that receives a folded umbrella and is intersected by a vertical wooden bar that functions as a hook for bags or coats, creating a combined storage and hanging system at eye level rather than on the floor.

Placed within the normal zone of departure rituals, the device aims to reduce the likelihood of forgetting an umbrella before stepping outside. When wet umbrellas are returned, they slide into the tube where internal ribbing supports the fabric and allows air to circulate, although some water may reach the floor since the system does not include a sealed drip tray. Offered in combinations of neutral grey with light wood, bronze with dark wood, or bold colour and wood contrasts, UMBRELLA+ is sized for a single umbrella and personal gear rather than family storage.
