Photographer Ugne Henriko Captures the Essence of Her Mother

Mother's are truly a gift to this world -- no one loves you more than your mother does, and Ugne Henriko wanted to honor her mother by copying her image.

In her series entitled 'Mother and Daughter,' Henriko found pictures of her mom from 37 years ago, and went about trying to replicate them. When Henriko realized that she shared a distinct resemblance with her mother, she figured this was the best way to share that similarity. The photos are almost identical. The way that she was able to perfectly copy the original image is stunning, and the resemblance between the two subjects is uncanny. Trying to pay tribute to a mother is a difficult task, but through her incredible photos, Ugne Henriko was able to translate her love onto print.
