Two-Volume A-Frame Houses

Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados Designs a Home near Mexico City

Local architecture studio Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados, also known as PPAA, designs a distinctive two-volume A-frame house nestled within the forested landscape of Valle de Bravo near Mexico City. The structure effortlessly bends into the surrounding environment, with glazed glass areas on the top and sides of the home inviting the forest to become an integral part of the interior experience. Inside, the residence features communal spaces above ground and private areas underground. The two-volume A-frame house is expanded with the inclusion of an outdoor pool and lunge area on the terrace.

PPAA used prefabricated elements for much of the structural framework which guaranteed a streamlined, efficient, and cost-effective construction process. The architects also included some eco-conscious features such as the rainwater collection function from the pitched roof.
