The TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 Gets a Tropical Coffee Dial Update

Bamford Watch Department works in collaboration with Badgerworks on a new iteration of the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 with a special tropical coffee dial. It uses unconventional materials to make the timepiece -- this time around, the material is ground coffee.

The organic coffee grounds are from Göteborg’s Cafe Da Matteo, which is a coffee shop in Sweden. It is used to create the blank dials before it is carefully hand completed before the assembly process. George Bamford, BWD's founder states, "I’ve always wanted to create a wonderful tropical dial but in a modern way, and I think this recycled coffee dial really has an authentic tropical vibe to it. Accentuated inside the Carrera watch this really works well together".
