Well a U.S. based pair are not hampered by such thoughts and created the Electrobyte: Sarriugarteis (Odontochile) trilobyte vehicle (no, I don’t know what it means).
But I do know what it is, the trilobyte vehicle is an insect-like, rideable, metal contraption that has, according to boingboing.net, "[a] hand-tooled exoskeleton [that] is mounted on the drive mechanism of an old electric wheelchair. At night, undermounted blue lights give it an otherworldly glow."
No word on whether there is a distribution deal on the trilobyte vehicle.
