The Treppich-Ar Stool combines a children's play area with an elegant ottoman. Mystery Clients, a Spanish design studio, presented this furniture concept at the Feria Habitat Valencia 2012.
The cushion at the top of the stool is actually a soft plushy carpet that can be unfolded and spread out on the ground. The fabric surface is large enough for two children to fit comfortably, so that they may play toy cars, sleep, or sit and chat without worry. The seat remains with a cushioned surface even when the carpet is rolled out so parents are able to sit and read to their children if they choose, or watch over them from a close distance.
When not in use, the carpet can be rolled back onto the top of the Treppich-Ar stool and held firm by a large black elastic. The fabric covering can be removed so that it may be cleaned to prevent illness.
