Treehouse-Like Home Designs

This Living Abode in Montreal is Designed by YH2 and is Quite Dreamy

Montreal-based architecture practice YH2 (Yiacouvakis Hamelin Architectes) designs a stunning treehouse-like home in "a secluded and densely wooded region" outside of the city, known to locals and travelers as Saint-Faustin-du-Lac-Carré.

The project brief called for the development of a modern vacation abode that optimized the stay of the residents by fostering a fluid design dynamic and maximizing breathtaking views, as well as relationships between outdoors and indoors. Given that the slope of the building's site was quite steep, the treehouse-like home is described to be "literally hanging from a cliff." Alongside this, YH2 infuses the interior and exterior of the building with incredibly elegant and contemporary aesthetic cues.
