Tree of Life in Island by Lee Jeong Lok is Brightly Fantastical

The Tree of Life in Island photo series appears to take place in some kind of fantastical land. As though full of fairies, perhaps the photographer has taken a trip to Neverland. A continuation of this 2010 series 'Tree of Life,' it appears that he simply set foot on a magical island full of rocky shores, still waters and mysterious forests.

Yet what makes the Tree of Life in Island photo series stand out from similar landscape captures are the trees set in the center of each image. Glowing with a million different colored 'leaves,' they becomes spiritually-emotive scenes. The images were captured by Korean artist Lee Jeong Lok, who used installation, sets, and digital manipulation to construct the striking surroundings.
