Glass-Encased Tree Houses

The Tree in the House is Located in the Forests of Almaty, Kazakhstan

Encased among the vast, sprawling forest outside of Almaty, Kazakhstan, is one tree, that is also a four-story 'Tree in the House' glass tower. A conceptual design by Aibet Almasov, who hopes to one day use the transparent, cylindrical tower as an abstract, meditative abode, the house enshrines a tree through the middle of the structure.

A winding staircase encircles the tree, with each floor's design positioned around the tree. The country home is intended to eradicate the visual and physical barriers constructed between the natural and manufactured, while offering a labyrinth of peace and solace for the overworked urban mind. The 'Tree in the House' attempts to provide an isolated garden path outside of the scattered citified environment, where temporary residents can recuperate themselves physically, creatively and spiritually.
