Travis Durden Transforms Iconic Evil Figures to Eerie Medieval Dead

Travis Durden is a Parisian artist whose portfolio includes a number of highly impressive sculptural works. His pieces tend to transcend different times and themes, previously bringing futuristic and ancient inspirations together for his faux-marble 'Star Wars' Greek statues and placing Batman into a post-apocalyptic setting.

Travis Durden's latest project shows iconic villainous characters as skeletal figures. The subjects are taken from a mostly contemporary pop culture. Included in the eerie series is Dracula, Alien, Ghostface, Predator, Maleficent and the Terminator.

The unique skulls of the characters gives away their identities, with the skeletal Maleficent sculpture featuring her iconic curved horns, high cheekbones and slender form. Each piece is dressed in Medieval clothing as well, with the futuristic Terminator adorned in ancient armor for an artistic contrast. Photo Credits: designboom, travisdurden
