Solar Wi-Fi Flowers

18' Sun-Powered Daisies Planted by Toyota in Boston

Toyota has made Boston a little bit greener. Giant 18-foot "Solar Flowers" have been ‘planted’ outside the city’s Prudential Plaza as part of the 2010 Prius launch.

The solar powered daisies are ‘growing’ from curvy benches which seat up to 10 people and allow free access to Wi-fi and outlets for recharging cell phone and laptop batteries. Solar panels are positioned behind the petals to catch the sun’s rays.

The Toyota solar daisies represent the Prius’ theme "Harmony Between Man, Nature and Machine." will be on site in the Plaza from July 8-19; then they move on.
