Because small children may not yet know how to use a telephone, 'Toymail' makes it easy for young kids to communicate with their parents. The system is based on two-way communication, allowing kids to send and receive messages through a series of postbox-shaped toys called 'Mailmen.'
Parents can send messages to their kids via the Toymailer app. The app is free to download and 10 free "stamps" are included with the download, which is how individual messages are sent. Within the app, additional virtual stamps or unlimited monthly messaging services can be purchased.
The system is like an advanced walkie-talkie or a voicemail box for kids, which allows them to send and receive messages from family. Each day, the 'Daily Toymailer' delivers a unique message like a song, fun fact or a quote, which always assures there will be a new delivery from the Mailmen each day.
Currently, Toymail creators Gauri Nanda and Audry Hill have launched a Kickstarter campaign to finish producing these toys.
