This Tourist Photography Project Helps People Take Quality Photos

The #NoSh*ttyPhotos tourist photography project aims to prevent visitors from taking terrible photos on their smartphones in New York and San Francisco.

A group of Miami Ad School graduates named Mimi Chan and Utsavi Jhaveri decided to start a social media campaign to help tourists essentially take better photos. Poorly photographed scenes of big cities are often posted on Instagram and Facebook social media networks. These students got creative and actually traveled to these cities and spray-painted exact positions on the ground at tourist locations.

Their clever and simple instructions are ‘Place feet, point and click’ on the yellow spray-painted ground where stencils of feet are found. This effective solution will help tourists realize they can actually capture a better photo by standing on the stencil guide provided by the #NoSh*ttyPhotos tourist photography project.
