Alarm.com Announced a New Doorbell That is Contactless

Alarm.com announced its new product on January 11, titled the Touchless Video Doorbell, which the company said is the first video doorbell that doesn’t need to be physically touched.

The Touchless Video Doorbell does not use motion detection software but instead relies on technology that can seamlessly detect when the customer has a visitor. The contactless features can be used by a visitor moving into a predetermined ground zone, which is set up by the owner. Alarm.com will also sell a separate doormat that provides visual instructions to visitors that the doorbell is contactless.

Other features of the Touchless Video Doorbell including a 150-degree field of view, HD capabilities, as well as HDR compatibility. It also has infrared night vision.
