Numerous outlets are reporting that the new incarnation of Sony's PSP will be a touch-sensitive PSP. Normally that wouldn't be newsworthy, but the new PSP's touch controls are rumored to be on its backside.

I am an avid gamer, and I have never seen or heard of anything like the touch-sensitive PSP. The ability to control a game by clutching and swiping at the back of the handheld does sound interesting, though. Touchscreens are all the rage right now, and in the tech world it is either innovate or die. Your move, Nintendo.
