Toshiba is 'Leading Innovation' by Sending a Chair to Space

In keeping with Toshiba’s famous ‘Leading Innovation’ tagline, Toshiba takes us to new heights, with their latest Ad Campaign, Toshiba Space Chair.

Toshiba called on Creative Ad Agency Grey London to create an ad to promote their two new product lines-2009 Toshiba REGZA SV LCD TV Series, and coming in 2010, the Satellite T Series of ultra low voltage laptops.

The Toshiba Space Chair ad was produced in the Nevada Black Rock desert where the Team set up and tied a custom biodegradable chair to a rig, and launched the chair into space with a helium balloon! The chair went on an 83 minute ride to an altitude of 98,268 feet, shattered into pieces, and fell back down to earth in just 24 minutes, where it had been monitored the whole time. The entire event was filmed with Toshiba cameras. Incredible!
